Some nostalgia parties sell a memory. The better ones discover that the memory is still alive: it reacts to the bass, anticipates the chorus and reminds an entire room that its body has not forgotten what to do.
Polishuk Trance Party arrived at Haoman 17 after two afternoon events had already established its language: classic trance, dance and turn-of-the-century club music for an audience coming not only to hear familiar tracks, but to reconnect with the years attached to them.
The third edition expanded the idea into two dates and, for part of the night, two rooms. Alongside Dee Dee, the published line-up included Yahel and Eran Barnea, with Astral Projection appearing on the Thursday date according to information shared with Trance Life from the event.
A room building towards one voice
The evening did not try to reach its peak immediately. It began at a measured pace and allowed the energy to rise as the venue filled. Then Dee Dee walked on stage.
For roughly half an hour, the performance became a shared singalong. The distance between an early-2000s record and a Tel Aviv crowd in 2026 simply disappeared.
Why “Forever” still lands
Dee Dee's “Forever” belongs to an era when trance-influenced dance music travelled freely between clubs, radio, compilation CDs and bedrooms. The record became her international breakthrough in the early 2000s and outlived the format through which many listeners first discovered it.
That history changed the meaning of her appearance in Tel Aviv. She was not simply another guest on a nostalgia bill. For many people in the room, she was the physical arrival of a song that had accompanied an earlier version of their lives.
The wider night
Before Dee Dee's set, the venue also offered a second room built around 1990s and 2000s R&B, hip-hop, pop and Israeli classics. It was a useful recognition that a nostalgia audience does not arrive through a single musical door.
On the Saturday date, Eran Barnea delivered one of the night's most energetic sets, Dee Dee provided its collective vocal moment, and Yahel returned the focus to the Israeli trance lineage. By the end, the soreness in the crowd's legs felt like its own review.
More than a retro cameo
The strongest part of Dee Dee's appearance was not novelty. It was continuity. The song had changed context, the audience had grown older and the venue was thousands of kilometres from Belgium, but the emotional response remained immediate.
That is the promise behind the best classic dance events: not a recreation of the past, but proof that a piece of it can still become present tense.
